*Please note, yardage for this project depends on style, size and whether or not you are using a lining or an upcycled quilt. This is part of the fabric consultation I will have with you prior to the first class. For details on the basics, see the pattern back.*

Depending on size, you will need somewhere between 5-7 yards of bias binding. For reference, you can cut 18 yards of bias binding from 1 yard of fabric.

Your sewing machine, in working order.

90/14 topstitch or quilting needles

Matching thread. (I sewed the entire project with the same thread I quilted it with)

Walking foot is helpful for assembly. ¼” foot is pretty necessary.

Quilt Clips – lots of them

Pins

2-3 yards of Pellon Easy Pattern (to make pattern pieces without cutting up your pattern)

IdentiPen or Sharpie to transfer the pattern.

Your choice of closures…

I used a separating #5 zipper that was 16”. You add this last, so you can wait until you know exactly what length you need, and I can link you to several places to purchase them. I also have some extras.

Alternately, you can use buttons with loop closures made from your bias binding…one or several.
