Select your favorite fabric per the pattern requirements. I suggest that you buy extra background to allow for mistakes. For best results pre-starch your fabric. Starch and let it dry before you press. Starch from the back and use regular starch like Niagara or Faultless brands. (This will help with bias cuts.) 8 bright colorful fat quarters for flowers), 2 green fat quarters (for leaves), fat eighth of navy for the words “life in full”), 1 yard for binding, and 3 ½ yards of background fabric. (3 ¾ yards backing.) Sewing machine: with manual and a ¼ inch foot if you have one. A good ¼” seam allowance will be important.
