Beginning Sewing Class with Cian

Beginning sewing: 
A great start to learning the basics of hand & machine sewing. In this class,
we will learn how to sew a stitch by hand as well as how to properly utilize a sewing machine.
We will be making a personalized tote bag, with skills that can easily be transferred to
sewing garments & more! What to expect: -Hand on learning with both hand & machine sewing -Learning how to thread a needle & easily tie your threads -Learning about different types of fabrics & fabric uses -Learning how to properly thread, turn on & manage your sewing machine -Learning basic stitches you'll use on most garments, such as a straight stitch and zip zag stitch -Learning how to properly read a ruler & make your own basic pattern
Between Stitches offers a 20% discount on supplies purchased for class.

Requirements: - 1 yard Woven Fabric - Spool of thread - black or white - Hand sewing needle - 1.5" wide Satin ribbon. Preferably one to match your tote fabric. - Sewing pins - Ruler - Iron away/wash away pen or pencil
Instructor: Cian Ramirez
Instructor Bio: Cian is a current fashion & costume design student with over 8 years of sewing experience. She currently spends most days working on costumes to wear at conventions or hanging out with her 3 cats!
